Big chopped and confused

June 2015 I went to the salon and Big chopped (insert shocked face). Why did I chop my hair off I don’t think I’ll ever have a clear answer EVER!!!!! I have always been a lazy hair person ,my mom did my hair or my best friend or I just plain went to the salon. Now here I am all natural and out of my element and on my own. From YouTube to Pinterest I would say I’m a natural hair expert yea not quite. It’s been two years and beside the fact that it is growing I still don’t know what I’m doing. I’m here to tell ya it’s not all it’s cracked up to be and these youtubers make it look so damn simple (rolls eyes). The main thing I accomplished is becoming a product junkie, Yup I one of them trying everything you see on the Internet. My key to this journey is PROTECTIVE STYLING, yes weaves wigs braids and crochet. Protective styling is like the natural girl’s survival kit well some naturals, but for the ones that are like me and are lazy and don’t have a clue it’s our kit. This journey has lead me into exploring my creative side. Never in my life would I have thought that I would make my own wig. Yes me I made a wig and its a damn good one for my first time. Now that my first was wig such a hit people ask me to make them one too (excited face).

First wig using 12inch closure and 14,16 inch bundles

So considering my personal experience i will say be patient be very patient because you will not get instant results and it will not always come out like your favorite youtubers. Explore new hairstyles and don’t be afraid to think out of the box. There are so many styles in the natural hair world that you shouldn’t keep yourself limited to just one. Find what works for you and what doesn’t and remember to protect them edges always!!!!
