When I stopped Dieting, I started Living

A special course of food to which a person restricts themselves, either to lose weight or for medical reasons.

Now that we got one meaning of Diet lets get to it. Have you ever found yourself stressed out over something you wasn’t suppose to eat? Well that was my life a few years ago. I tried so many different diets that it blew my mind. I was my own project that I needed to have finished by the end of the 30 days. 

  There are so many different diets to choose from no meat diets, no bad sugar, no carbs and the list go on.I typically would do no carbs or little to no carbs. So that means there goes my morning toast and can I only have a spoonful of rice. I do not know anyone who would possibly want to live that life. 
   The pressure of being on a diet can get very overwhelming. Many times you feel that your not doing it right because the results are not instant and give up. I have no idea how many times I would start from the beginning again. Then on the other hand not only are you stressed but you are stressing the people out around you ( that’s me). Life should not I repeat SHOULD NOT be that stressful when it comes to eating. The only hard choice I want that involves food is when I’m looking at a menu and can not decide. 
Every diet has the “cheat meal” clause (well at least the ones I did). I couldn’t wait for that day to indulge on any and everything. Honestly my “cheat meals” would sometimes turn into “cheat days”. Yes the whole day I would eat things my little diet said I could not have. So poof all my hard work wasted in one day. If diets weren’t so bossy I probably wouldn’t be so inclined to be so rebellious. 
Life after trying so many diets has been sweet, if you catch my drift. No I don’t always eat cake but when I do I don’t beat myself up about it. I’m just trying to enjoy what life has to offer. Moderation to me is the most important part of any diet. I don’t actually go on diets but since I know the basics of a healthy lifestyle I maintain pretty well. I go out with friends without stressing about if something has too many carbs in it. 
Now I’m not saying diets are bad but they just not for me at least at not at this moment. So I choose to live and be mindful. I eat my fruits and veggies but I will not give up my all time favorite food. By the way that is cornbread and we will forever be in each others lives. 
So my lovely’s never put to much stress on dieting.
Drink plenty of water
Eat in moderation
Eat your veggies
Eat your fruits
Yes enjoy that cookie
